A Most True Definition of Sexy

Here is the definition of sexy, as per the Merriam-Webster dictionary:

Sexy: adjective

\ ˈsek-sē \

1 : sexually suggestive or stimulating : erotic

2 : generally attractive or interesting : appealing

Here is my definition of sexy:

Based on the meaning that something or someone sexy is intended to evoke desire, I long ago concluded the following:

“Sexy” is not just something you push up with a bra, or tame with spandex, or lift with squats, or wear on your lips, or flatten with an iron, or pay for at the surgeon. Sexy is in the way you express and carry yourself; it’s in a confident smile, it’s in humility, it’s in inner strength, it’s in civilized actions, it’s in being yourself, it’s in compassion.

It is in kindness… because nothing is more appealing to me than a kind, selfless soul.

We might all have a different definition of what sexy is. But I really do think that it has nothing to do with body parts and everything to do with personality. Body parts just add a little nice touch to the whole package, but at the end of the day, it is subjective.

His six-pack might be mouth-watering, but what if he’s a caveman? Lack of personality kills sex appeal, anyway — unless you’re attracted to barbarians. Then in that case, that’s all you.

What’s your sexy definition?
