Hey Girl, You’re the Full 3D Experience
And so much more! Don’t let fiction influence your reality. Remove everyone’s eyes from you. Forget about everyone’s views of the “ideal” breasts and you’ll be alone in the room with the only critic that matters: yourself. It’s important that you understand that you’re not a walking magazine cutout. You’re the real deal, the full 3D experience, if you will, with working organs that cannot be trimmed down (or blown up, in our case) just to fit the mold. Love your assets. Just a sweet little reminder for all my ladies out there to not conform to social norms and beauty standards. This is an excerpt from my little book…

You’re the Real Deal
What some men say, or what you think men say about your chest, is bringing you down. Don’t let this fiction influence your reality. Remove everyone’s eyes from you. Forget about everyone’s views on the “ideal” breasts and you’ll be alone in the room with the only critic that matters: yourself. It’s important that you understand that you’re not a walking magazine cutout. You’re the real deal, the full 3D experience, if you will, with working organs that cannot be trimmed down (or blown up, in our case) just to fit the mold. Love your assets — they’re beautiful the way they are. Bringing women a bit of inspiration on this start…

Your Flawless Small Chest
Somehow I landed on this plastic surgery TV show in Spain and thought it was necessary for me to share this image. This lady went back to her surgeon after her left implant deflated. She had to go through a couple of procedures to remove the sagging skin around her chest because, after all, the size of her implants had to be reduced. First, I couldn’t help but notice the size that she went for originally. It’s so disproportional to her body, what did she expect? I wonder if she ever tipped over. Second, I can never understand why any woman would go to this length, through this trouble, any…

Buns and Bosoms in Tina Fey’s Words
In her book, Bossypants, Tina Fey writes the following: I think the first real change in women’s body image came when JLo turned it butt-style. That was the first time that having a large-scale situation in the back was part of mainstream American beauty. Girls wanted butts now. Men were free to admit that they had always enjoyed them. And then, what felt like moments later, boom—Beyoncé brought the leg meat. A back porch and thick muscular legs were now widely admired. And from that day forward, women embraced their diversity and realized that all shapes and sizes are beautiful. Ah ha ha. No. I’m totally messing with you. All…

Where Empowerment Doesn’t Come From
Absolutely LOVED this article by Beauty Redefined, where they call Victoria’s Secret on their “empowering” bullsh*t. What girls need is campaigns like VS to go away; to stop selling unhealthy and dangerous standards to our younger generation. You’re in control of your body, ladies. Remember that. Here’s an excerpt: This brand begs us to believe, and totally relies on us believing, that our power comes from enhancing, accessorizing, fixing, and flaunting our bodies. It relies on us believing beautiful and “sexy” look ONE very specific way — very thin, tall, young, and wrinkle- and cellulite-free — and that we must achieve those ideals by any means necessary in order to…

Artistic Success Should Not Depend on Breasts
There’s a place for everything and my guess is that if men wanted to see breasts in a clubby environment, they should then go to a strip club. Even Burlesque shows can give them a better view. (I’ve got you covered, dudes.) But regular nightclubs are for real dancing. I went to yet another audition the other day — and I mean, this was for simple club gig, nothing major. As I struggled to make my top look fuller (I guess), one of the women I used to work with, and who was part of the panel judging our “abilities,” walked in the dressing room and, noticing my struggle, bluntly…

Don’t Need Your Silicone, I Prefer My Own
Am I less of a lady if I don’t wear pantyhose My momma said ‘A lady ain’t what she wears but what she knows’ But I’ve drawn the conclusion, it’s all an illusion Confusion’s the name of the game A misconception, a vast deception Something got to change…

Body Evolution: A Video All Women Should Watch
Body Evolution: A Video All Women Should Watch This is an old video, but a message that never gets old. Watch how the model is “turned into a bombshell glamor model with the help of hair and makeup artists and of course, Photoshop.” Airbrushing is playing with our standard of beauty and ruining the… Airbrushing is playing with our definition of beauty and ruining the self-esteem of our younger generations. It is important for women, particularly, to understand that this “beauty” is not real. Images of models and celebrities we see on magazines are thoroughly tweaked. Don’t buy into this nonsense.
