    While taking care of my bouquet of roses the other day, I started thinking about the relationship between flowers and, well, relationships. Although not groundbreaking, it is a symbol worth noting and remembering whenever we find ourselves wondering what went wrong. Like flowers, relationships are susceptible to withering. Some, you will find, quicker than others. The thing is, when you take that extra care of your flowers — adding the chemical solution in the water to keep them fresh, changing the water every now and then (or watering them if a garden), keeping them cool, etc. —  the flowers naturally will last longer.     Neglected Flower

    Sometimes in life we forget to care for things and people that should’ve been under our watchful eye all along. We neglect them. It’s also a very human behavior that, once we realize that something or someone is gone, we want to do anything in our power to get what’s lost back, to start over again. But life has already made other plans and what we neglect becomes a lost cause. You can’t revive a flower once it’s dead; you can’t make an aching soul love you when you’re the reason for its pain. Things must be cared for while they’re still alive. Once they’re gone, it’ll take a miracle…
